Podcast: Building an Inclusive Brand Platform

A year ago this was a problem. 20 yrs ago this was a problem. But today, it’s a problem that’s now larger than life – how to eradicate systemic discrimination. You can’t just a spend area out, or insert a new product name and call it a day. While it’s a great start, it doesn’t always address the barriers – many of which were built with the intention to protect a company’s position and promise from the start. The reality is, most brands are BUILT from frameworks that encourage systemic discrimination – whether intentional or not. It’s in how brands deliver consistently on a promise, or “target” audiences and identify demographics to purchase products. We built positions and promises to help our teams to communicate directly or indirectly based on decades of branding DNA, taught by marketing gurus, and practiced by team after team. How do you redirect that – knowingly, mindfully and with greater good intention? Surgically, and comprehensively.

The discussion will explore and ensure the inclusive integrity of the brand, its culture, employees and trusting customers and consumers and how to roll out the outcomes organization-wide.
